My goal is to read at least 100 books in 2013. So far I've read 7 books this year and Goodreads is still telling me I'm 3% and three books behind.
Please visit my new Giveaway page and don't forget to leave your link back so I can check out your Monday posts!

You have some interesting reads here.
ReplyDeleteGoodreads also informs me that I'm behind on my goal of 75 books this year. Good luck with catching up!
Enjoy your reads :-)
Thanks for stopping by. It's always nice to hear that someone else is failing their GR challenge right along with me :)
ReplyDeleteAwwww - well, you have to read at least two books a week for 100 books this year. It's doable. I can't though. There are some weeks where I can barely read on book, and I used to get at least four books a week done....but that was pre internet. Pre-Internet being before I got the internet, as opposed to when the internet was birthed. ;)
ReplyDeleteI've watched a few Dexter episodes, but I've never read a Dexter book. Is the book written AFTER the t.v. show came out or did the show come out after the books?
:) Thanks for visiting my blog
I used to read several books a week too but it has slowed way down. If it weren't for audiobooks and an awful commute I would get very little read.
DeleteThe Dexter show follows the books somewhatbut there are a lot of big changes. The books (at least the first one) were written before the show. The biggest comes to mind is a death of a major character in book one (I won't spoil it but it made me happy). And then there's Deb. Her character in the book is gorgeous and has big boobs, LOL, very unlike the Deb on the show. She's also super abrasive. They've lightened her up a little on the show and turned her curses into humor. I like Deb on the show much better.
Man, that goodreads counter is really discouraging at the beginning of the year. I'm behind too, but I'm trying not to worry about it too much. It's only February!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your books this week. :)
This is the first year I've attempted to join their challenge and I think I may set my goals too high. I started off two weeks and four books behind in January and may be playing catch up for months. Ah well, it will keep me motivated at least.
DeleteHmmm. Most of those are new to me. I've read Vanilla on Top and have seen the Nora one but that's about it. Can't wait to hear what you think of it. I've tried one of Nora's and had a hard time with it (but love her as JD Robb).
ReplyDeleteAhhh. Well if you want to feel a little better. I'm 1 behind on Goodreads AND that blasted Angel Be Good from the TBR KnockOut? Still. Not. Read. LOL That book is gonna be the death of me ;)
Happy reading this week!
I usually love Nora's books but I don't like either main character which makes it hard to enjoy any of the story. I keep hoping things improve but instead I just find myself getting annoyed.
DeleteHaha, on Angel Be Good. Anna, read that damn book! I have many books like that. I start them with all good intentions and I want to finish them but then something pulls me away. There's always next week, right?
Don't be discouraged by Goodreads - that counter gets me too! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely reading week :)
Whatcha readin’ this week @ the Brunette Librarian
I guess, if anything, it will keep me motivated to read more ;)
